I discovered this Goddess du Jour, Taryn Andreatta, while searching around for beautiful, inspiring, erotic images. Taryn Andreatta is a modern-day model, and I’m well aware of that fact. But, when I look at her, I can’t imagine she exists in reality. There is something more to her beauty than meets the eye. She has a timeless beauty, evocative of Renaissance paintings, Pre-Raphaelite romanticism, and oxidized daguerreotype mysteries.
The Offering was artfully shot by photographers Mark Sink and Kristin Hatgi.
Fair as the moon and joyful as the light … (Christina Rossetti)
She is a Gauguin goddess of flowers and island nature
A Pre-Raphaelite beauty of ethereal radiance
I could imagine Amadeo Modigliani falling in love with her and painting her raw sensuality

I have much to thank Violet Blue for, as she is truly a gifted sex blogger. I admire her for her style, and it is because of Violet that I discovered Cafe Glow. Thank you, Violet, for being my sex blogging muse extraordinaire.
This video of Tatiana in Ravishing is one that captured my attention as I perused the many videos made by Cafe Glow. It reminds me of the sexiness that I was surrounded by when I was a nude dancer. One of the pleasures of being a nude dancer was watching other women onstage. This video, somehow, captures that feeling for me.

Cafe Glow is artistic and exotic. I love the composition of colors and music that compliments each woman’s sensuous movement. They have Grey films, Bleu films, and Red films. Each color describes the content and temperature of the mood.
I also loved the Qream video (Kortney Kane) and Cafe Glow’s hot and erotic Tumblr blog. Here is the link for that creamy beauty in the QREAM video that’s sure to make you want to lick up some cream or make you cream, either way.
I love the visual of a woman drenched in cream… something so marvelously delicious about it.
And there’s the film noir style… Brenna in Don’t Explain…

Erotic Freedom : Happy 4th of July

Erotic Freedom. We have had 25,000 years of it, according to Alan Moore in his book titled 25,000 Years of Erotic Freedom:
With each new technological advance, pornography has proliferated and degraded in quality. Today, porn is everywhere, but where is it art?
25,000 Years of Erotic Freedom surveys the history of pornography and argues that the success and vibrancy of a society relates to its permissiveness in sexual matters.
This history of erotic art brings together some of the most provocative illustrations ever published, showcasing the evolution of pornography over diverse cultures from prehistoric to modern times. Beginning with the Venus of Willendorf, created between 24,000-22,000 bce, and book-ended by contemporary photography, it also contains a timeline covering major erotic works in several cultures. 25,000 Years of Erotic Freedom ably captures the ancient and insuppressible creative drive of the sexual spirit, making this book a treatise on erotic art.
TIMELINE OF EROTIC FREEDOM
(excerpt from Alan Moore’s 25,000 Years of Erotic Freedom)
Venus of Willendorf created 24,000-22,000 B.C.
Founding of Rome (753 B.C.)
Greek artists create pornographic drawings & paintings on amphora, goblets, and vases (5th century B.C.)
Romans paint frescoes in Villa Dei Misteri at Pompeii of sexual acts and erotic images (1st century B.C.)
In Middle Ages, hundreds of erotic carvings found on colonnades of Gothic churches
sculpture of David by Donatello (1430-32)
Birth of Venus painting by Botticelli (1480)
Savonarola, a notorious and powerful censor, persuades artists of Firenze, Italy to destroy their nude art (1497)
Pope Paul III establishes the Universal Roman Inquisition and condemnation of “immoral works of art” (1542)
Pope Paul IV creates a list of books he banned to the Inquisition (1559)
The Council of Trent of the Catholic Church issues the “Librorum Prohibitum” updated until 1948, including more than 4,000 works. The index was rescinded in 1965. (1564)
Licensing Act of 1662 gives the English courts a mandate to “suppress indecent publications” (1662)
“PORNOGRAPHY” comes into widespread use as a term in 19th century, appearing in the Oxford Dictionary (1857)
Scandal of Oscar Wilde’s trials (1895)
Erotic Freedom has survived since the Victorian period. Since playwright Oscar Wilde was convicted of “gross indecency” in the stifling era of censorship for his writings and sexual preference, we have begun to loosen the bindings of sexual & erotic repression, dancing with the Great Goddess into the next millennium. Artists, writers, poets, novelists, photographers, sculptors, painters, musicians, burlesque dancers, belly dancers, prostitutes, web cam performers, lesbians, gays, straights, bi-sexuals, transgenders, hermaphrodites, erotic models, pornographers, erotic artists, shibari enthusiasts & artists, polyamorists, creative beings of the world, male and female, have the right to be sexually free and express themselves.
“The books that the world calls immoral are the books that show the world its own shame.” ~ Oscar Wilde
(1885-1930) D.H. Lawrence, an English writer, was a famous novelist, poet, playwright, essayist, and literary critic. His novel, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, was censored when it was first published in 1928, and it was later part of a trial under the Obscene Publications Act. But D. H. Lawrence was true to his erotic expressions in his literature, not to be cast aside as “smut” :
Lawrence’s opinions earned him many enemies and he endured official persecution, censorship, and misrepresentation of his creative work throughout the second half of his life, much of which he spent in a voluntary exile he called his “savage pilgrimage.”At the time of his death, his public reputation was that of a pornographer who had wasted his considerable talents. E. M. Forster, in an obituary notice, challenged this widely held view, describing him as, “The greatest imaginative novelist of our generation.” {quote from Wikipedia}
He was not alone.
Henry Miller, James Joyce, and Walt Whitman, to name a few. Here is a list of Banned Books in history. Oscar Wilde’s play “Salome” was deemed “vulgar,” and Tennessee Williams’ play “A Streetcar Named Desire” was “controversial” because of the story of a woman’s rape and mental decline.
Writer Henry Miller, lover of Anaïs Nin, published his first printing of Tropic of Cancer in 1934, and all of his books were banned in the United States, as his works contain detailed accounts of sexual experiences. His writing opened the doors of sex in American writing. He continued to write novels that were banned in the United States on the “grounds of obscenity.”
James Joyce’s Ulysses was banned for “obscenity.” In 1998, the Modern Library ranked Ulysses first on its list of the 100 best English-language novels of the 20th century.
Ulysses was an epic groundbreaking novel that was cause for much controversy due to its “Obscenity Allegations” :
“Written over a seven-year period from 1914 to 1921, the novel was serialized in the American journal The Little Review from 1918 until the publication of the Nausicaä episode led to a prosecution for obscenity. In 1919, sections of the novel also appeared in the London literary journal The Egoist, but the novel itself was banned in the United Kingdom until the 1930s. In 1920 after the US magazine The Little Review serialised a passage of the book dealing with the main character masturbating, a group called the New York Society for the Suppression of Vice, who objected to the book’s content, took action to attempt to keep the book out of the United States. At a trial in 1921 the magazine was declared obscene and, as a result, Ulysses was banned in the United States. In 1933, the publisher Random House arranged to import the French edition and have a copy seized by customs when the ship was unloaded, which it then contested. In United States v. One Book Called Ulysses, U.S. District Judge John M. Woolsey ruled on December 6th 1933 that the book was not pornographic and therefore could not be obscene, a decision that was called “epoch-making” by Stuart Gilbert.The Second Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the ruling in 1934.Contrary to popular belief, Ulysses was never banned in Ireland.” {quote from Wikipedia under “Ulysses”}
All artists, writers, and creative people have the right to express themselves in art. Erotica, literature, paintings, poetry, music, and dance forms have the artistic freedom to involve the erotic. What about French Erotic postcards? Love letters? Erotic photography?
But we have much to celebrate. The latest and greatest news of New York Legislature passing a “same sex marriage” bill has us all shouting Let Freedom Ring!
“All censorships exist to prevent any one from challenging current conceptions and existing institutions.” ~ George Bernard Shaw
Fig leafs once covered genitals on sculptures. Paintings that were deemed “immoral” were covered and banned from museums. Writers were censored, and even criticized for their sexual identities. Like Oscar Wilde’s homosexual preferences, Walt Whitman was insulted for his presumed “bisexuality” based on his writings:
“Whitman’s sexuality is generally assumed to be homosexual or bisexual based on his poetry, though that has been at times disputed. His poetry depicts love and sexuality in a more earthy, individualistic way common in American culture before the medicalization of sexuality in the late 19th century. Though Leaves of Grass was often labeled pornographic or obscene, only one critic remarked on its author’s presumed sexual activity: in a November 1855 review, Rufus Wilmot Griswold suggested Whitman was guilty of “that horrible sin not to be mentioned among Christians”. Whitman had intense friendships with many men and boys throughout his life. Some biographers have claimed that he may not have actually engaged in sexual relationships with males, while others cite letters, journal entries and other sources which they claim as proof of the sexual nature of some of his relationships.” (quote from Wikipedia)
Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure (known as Fanny Hill) by John Cleland was the first published erotic novel in England in 1748. Fanny Hill is considered the first original English prose pornography in novel form. It is one of the most prosecuted and banned books in history.
Quotes from Fanny Hill:
“I felt her dear lips again pressing and sucking my engine of love.”
“…and now, disengag’d from the shirt, I saw, with wonder and surprise, what? not the play-thing of a boy, not the weapon of a man, but a maypole of so enormous a standard, that had proportions been observ’d, it must have belong’d to a young giant. Its prodigious size made me shrink again; yet I could not, without pleasure, behold, and even ventur’d to feel, such a length, such a breadth of animated ivory!”
Southern writer Kate Chopin wrote an erotic romance titled The Storm, which was composed on July 19, 1898. It was first published in The Complete Works of Kate Chopin in 1969. Kate Chopin did not dare publish it, as the sexual content would have caused great controversy. She had already caused enough by publishing her novel, The Awakening, which was condemned due to its subject matter of a woman’s non-conformist behavior and sexual desire outside of her marriage.
To quote from the Kate Chopin website: “She was the first woman writer in her country to accept passion as a legitimate subject for serious, outspoken fiction. Revolting against tradition and authority.”
Other writers, like Anaïs Nin, could not find a publisher that would risk printing their books. Anaïs Nin decided to do it herself. She printed her own books with her own printing press! She bought a foot-operated press and handset to print her own works.
Many other creative spirits have been deemed unpublishable, pornographic, obscene, vulgar, and controversial, with works of art and letters banned. But Erotic Freedom Prevails.
Let’s rejoice! Let us Sing The Body Electric! We have Erotic Freedom! No more fig leafs, no more censorship, freedom for all. And for those who are in difficulty, pain, in oppression and suppression, those in sexual slavery, let us work toward freedom for all human beings to be healthy, happy, and free.

Miss Ting Ting (Yi Ting) is a model from Taiwan, based in Brussels and Paris. She is openly erotic, daring, and rebelliously sexy. She does erotic nude modeling, and nothing more than that. She does fetish & erotic modeling.
Personally, I think her sexual energy is erotic enough on its own, vibrating through each image with a confidence.
She is featured on her own website PETIT BON BON and NAKEDBY Magazine.
What I found most interesting is a photo collaboration she did with photographer Thyl Détré (T)HERE, an exact quote from Ting’s website:
(T)HERE is an ongoing project shot via skype. For almost two years now, Thyl Détré is taking pictures of Yi Ting, wherever she could be in the world, as long as she gets an internet connection. She doesn’t see him, he doesn’t give her any indication, they just plan the hour of the meeting, she’s alone in front of her blank screen, he’s taking pictures of his. The project shuffles the cards of fiction and documentary, taking portraits of the multiple invented lives that constitute the reality of a person.
For now, the project resulted in a stop-motion six minutes movie and a collection of pictures that will be collected in a book (sorry, texts are in French). The movie has been shown at the French photo festival of Arles at the Photo Phnom Penh festival. More is still to come.

I just discovered Camille Crimson— a gorgeous redhead with class, style, intelligence, and expertise in porn. I am thrilled to bits that she’s so fabulous, and such a nerdy, sexy, geeky, one-of-a-kind woman. I want to kiss and squeeze her she’s so absolutely delicious. I borrowed some text and photos to share with you, but please do explore and join all of them! I am joining myself. Yes, she has four erotic sites and a blog. She not only looks beautiful, but she uses her sensuality and sweetness (she looks so sweet) and makes homemade porn into erotic art. She’s also webmaster for all her sites (thank you for use of your photos and text, Camille) and edits her own video and photos. She loves to cook “boeuf bourgignon, tajine de poulet aux pruneaux and osso bucco.” Really? She loves tagine cooking? Chicken and prunes cooked slowly in a tagine… so decadence prevails in her hands. She’s a gourmet sex goddess!
Here are her websites, highlighted for your pleasure— Bon Appetit!

I’m a fun, sexy redhead who happens to adore giving head. I wanted to show the world a more artistic, sensual and erotic side of the blow job, which I think is the most incredible sex act. I made this website completely by myself to pay homage to the blow job, using all my own coding and design (you perv wanna see my source codes? ). Before I got into porn, I was a web developer, coding mostly PHP/MySQL using tools like SubEthaEdit and Cyberduck (I’m on a Mac!). I was known amongst my peers as the PHP Queen. Yes, I am a nerd.
This is definitely not a big corporation with a smiling redhead mascot. We are a small porn production company (Mad Blanket Pictures) with a simple dream… To make beautiful porn. Our company consists of three people: my boyfriend Mike Flirt, who does all the camera work and a lot of the video editing, our friend Sophie Delancey, who does all the PR/Marketing and writing and then me! I do all the coding, design, the photoshopping and some of the video editing. If you’re looking for cheap porn with a massive amount of content driven by some Mega-Cash network, this isn’t the site for you. We make sure to put out the most beautiful porn imaginable, which can’t be mass-produced.

Blowjob in Red Slip and Glasses
From Camille Crimson’s website

There’s something that comes over me whenever I get new lingerie. It’s like a I become a whole new woman and I just need to express myself through my sensuality. I put on my beautiful jewelry, painted my nails and did my lipstick to match my new red slip and sauntered over to my boyfriend, ready to give him the blow job of a woman who just got new lingerie.
I immediately took the head in my mouth, sucking away expertly and pushing down further until I had him entirely in my mouth. The satin against my skin was almost orgasmic, pushing me to play with my nipples through the light, silky material. He took over, lavishing attention over my breasts as I continued to deep throat him and began playing with his balls.
Slowly and with expert skill, I started to lick his balls with his shaft buried in my throat. All of this special attention on him always makes him feel so good, so it was only natural that he began to thrust into me. Not wanting him to cum to quick, I started working his shaft with my hands while I licked and sucked on his balls. After changing sensations countless times, from stroking to teasing to deep throating and back again, I finally let him cum all over my hands, in my mouth and lapped up every little drop that remained. If you want a truly sensual blowjob, try lingerie.

Indigo Blowjob
I know you love seeing me in lingerie, and when I saw this little indigo number in a store, I couldn’t resist buying it. The second you saw me in it, you were rock hard. I love knowing I have that effect on you. Maybe it’s just your pavlovian response. When you see me in lingerie, you know you’re about to get an amazing blowjob. Well you’re right.
I lick at your eager hardness, teasing slightly before taking you down deep in my throat. I cup your balls, cradling the source of your cum as I suck on the tip. That drives you wild. This blowjob is all about you, baby. I just want to make you feel so good. As I stroke your shaft and suck on you, I look up and see just how great this makes you feel. And that makes me feel amazing too.
My fist makes circles around your cock and I feel you pump into my hand, so I take it back to deep throating for a while. I wouldn’t want you to come too quickly. Still, as I feel you play with my hair, I let you pump into my mouth for a while since it feels so good to know how much you love this blowjob. A knowing smile spreads across my face as I hear your breath deepen. With a few more good strokes and sucks, I know you’ll have an incredible orgasm. As I stoke you intensely with both hands, you start to jet incredible bursts of cum on my mouth and my new indigo lingerie. I don’t care. I love your cum too much to mind.

So why have a website with only blow job pictures and videos? There are many ways I could answer this question. The most obvious one is that giving head is a delicious sex act. It provides amazing pleasure not only to my sex partner but to me as well. And I am sure it does you some good too, so check out the rest of the site and go visit my blog at http://www.camillecrimson.com. I love to make friends with my fans, so make sure to say hello!

Vogue Italia June 2011
BRAVA ITALIA for bringing back the CURVE.
The Hips, the Breasts.
Woman.
Soft, Strong, Warm, Fleshy
Venus of Willendorf, Primal Womb
Ripe, Juicy, Sensuous, Curves of the Cosmos
Primordial Sister Moon, Mother of Life
Breasts, Goblets of Milk, Elixir
Hips, Thighs, Buttocks
Beautiful Woman.
Feminine beauty for centuries has been based upon the round, soft hips, the swell and dip of breasts. Rubenesque. Zaftig. Curvy. Venus had them. Aphrodite, as she was called by the Greeks. Femme Fatales. Sirens. Seductresses. All of them had a powerful gift: femininity.
Photographer Steven Meisel has captured, and only with his lens, the magnificence of the curve, the way we women are supposed to be. Enough of this dieting, the maniacal efforts to be slim, to squeeze into a size too small, for our true beauty is built in. Honor the curves, don’t fight them, as we have for decades now. What have we been doing? It’s like trying to control a tidal wave. A natural force. Corsets to control our tummy, “body shapers” and “tummy tamers” and contraptions to bind our curves? Enough of them. Unless you enjoy wearing a corset along with your garters and stockings to accentuate the positives of your curves.
Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine and Robyn Lawley are on the June issue cover story of VOGUE Italia, portrayed by Steven Meisel.
(Interestingly, Steven Meisel was also obsessed with models such as Twiggy, Veruschka, and Jean Shrimpton at 12 years old. To meet famous model Twiggy, the 12-year-old Meisel stood outside waiting for her to appear). But, here we have curves like never before. Unlike Twiggy, these curvaceous beauties are bringing back the bounce, the boom boom, and the vavoom. Or the…abbondanza!
The Renaissance of Feminine Beauty, Power, and the Goddess. Real Goddesses. The Archetype of Woman.
And VOGUE Italia is fighting the war against Pro-Anorexia websites with their buxom beauties.
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION
SIGN AGAINST PRO-ANOREXIA WEBSITES AND BLOGS
“On learning that Facebook is considered today the culprit of anorexia, and since I believe it is impossible that a social network alone may be held responsible for the spreading of such phenomenon, I did some research and found that there are countless pro-anorexia websites and blogs that not only support the disorder, but also urge young people to be competitive about their “body shape”.
Vogue Italia, the magazine par excellence that deals with and promotes aesthetics and beauty, has decided to make use of its authority and its readers on the web (over one million of contacts per month), to battle against anorexia and collect signatures with the final goal of shutting such sites down.
Fashion has been always blamed as one of the culprits of anorexia, and our commitment is the proof that fashion is ready to get on the frontline and struggle against the disorder.”

A is for Aphrodisiac

The first food I remember tasting and feeling an overwhelming sense of pleasure from was rice pudding. It was evening when my grandparents arrived home from a dinner out, and they thought to bring a pint of rice pudding home. I may have been about six or seven at the time. The container was treated as a magical vessel, the way my grandfather spooned the pudding out into a small bowl for my dessert. Plump raisins speckled the pudding among the creamy rice, scent of cinnamon and vanilla. The raisins burst in my mouth with juicy surprise, and the heavy cream, so voluptuous and decadent on my tongue. Such sensuality was intensely memorable, particularly at such a young age.
Rice pudding was my first sensual food experience, and then there was the bowl of fresh strawberries, chopped up and swirled into sour cream with heaping amounts of brown sugar. Such were the beginnings of my culinary taste buds. As a girl, one with wonder about magic potions, and spells cast by witches and wizards in fairy tales, the idea of an aphrodisiac captivated me.
The potion that makes one fall in love seemed the most appealing. Whether it was made by a witch or concocted in the kitchen, that concept of creating something to evoke a strong desire, and love. Inspiration and seduction, the spell cast by pots and pans, by stirring exotic spices into a pot of soup, or blending a secret ingredient into your amour’s drink, the outcome would be unbridled pleasure.
The desire for pleasure is something that is deeply embedded in human longing. We seek out pleasure in food, drink, and love. There are many aspects to pleasure, of course, from having our hair washed at the salon, feeling the warm sun on our skin, stretching our body out in a comfortable bed after a good sleep, to making love, perhaps, in that morning or any other moment, and tasting something we truly enjoy. The idea of food as a magical substance that enhances our desires, that makes our love interest want us intensely, that inspires lovers to greater moments of passion, is an idea that has existed for centuries.
In New Orleans I knew a Voudou Priestess who had a little shop (botanica) where she gave tarot readings and dispensed love potions, spells, candles, and magical oils to her believers. I danced on Bayou St. John in celebration of the famous New Orleans Voudou Queen, Marie Laveau’s birthday. Erzulie was honored into the sacred space for the ceremony. Erzulie is the Voudou goddess of love, romance, art, passion and sex. Beauty and love are her creations. People came in seeking help with their love life. The Voudou “orisha” or “goddess” Erzulie is their version of Aphrodite, and she is called upon for love spells in particular.
The word “aphrodisiac” derives from the Goddess of Love and Sex, Aphrodite. She herself was born of the sea, emerging on a clam shell, created from sea foam. The “clam shell” has vaginal suggestions, and the sea, amniotic fluid, birthing from ‘sea foam’, which makes one think of semen. At least I think of semen when imagining sea foam.
Oysters are a known aphrodisiac, and the shells that glimmer with their opalescent promises of sexual stamina and male virility. Perhaps, then, sea cucumbers and geoducks might suffice for an obvious male aphrodisiac? Why oysters, with their feminine sexual offerings? But time has given meaning to these myths of aphrodisiacal qualities, and we don’t question the powers of the mysterious rites of sex.
Abalone, acai berry, apples, apricots, and even arugula are thought of as “aphrodisiacs”. Asparagus with its phallic spear, Avocado with its feminine vulva and center (pit) like a womb of green fecundity. Bananas are all too suggestive when eating. Basil was a Roman symbol of love. Champagne, bubbling and effervescent, inspires delight and tastes of romance, celebration. Yes, chocolate, for a multitude of reasons, is considered an aphrodisiac, without any doubt its mood-enhancing power is scientifically proven. Cherries are juicy and red, sensual to suck on, bite, turn the pit around in one’s mouth.
Almonds a symbol of fertility throughout history. The fragrance is believed to inspire a woman’s passion.
Anise According to Greek and Roman history, sucking on anise seed stimulates desire.
Arugula Since the early ages, arugula and pistachio are known aphrodisiacs.
Asparagus An aphrodisiac because of its phallic shape.
Avocado The Aztecs believed avocado was a symbol of sexuality.
Bananas One glance at a phallic banana, and you know why. Also rich in potassium and vitamin B which help hormone production.
Basil Basil is said to increase libido and fertility.
Beetroot: With its passionate red color, beetroot is a rich source of the mineral boron which helps produce sex hormones.
Carrots: Men who wan a stronger libido should add carrots to their diet.
Cayenne pepper: This fiery spice is known to heat the sexual drive.
Chili peppers: Eating these causes the release of endorphins which are natural painkillers, and also cause the same high as extreme physical exertion. Chili peppers increase heart rate, which quickens the pulse and makes for an exciting evening.
Champagne: A symbol of celebration, because of champagne’s tiny bubbles, the intoxicating effect of the wine is carried more quickly into the blood stream. The aromas of dry champagnes are also said to replicate the scents of female pheromones.
Cherries: A classic symbol of love, cherries’ rich red color and burst of performance-enhancing nutrients make this a perfect fruit to have on hand for a romantic evening. Certain cherries are believed to stimulate pheromone production.
Chocolate/cacao: The Aztecs referred to chocolate as “food of the Gods”. Chocolate contains the aphrodisiac phenyl ethylamine, which releases the same hormone as sex. It also contains the feel-good hormone serotonin and caffeine to race things up. It has more antioxidants than red wine. To really inspire your passion, you can have chocolate and red wine together.
Cranberries: These little crimson berries are full of vitamin C and fiber to keep you feeling frisky.
Garlic: The ‘heat’ in garlic is said to stir sexual desires. Used as an aphrodisiac since the Egyptians, the Romans consecrated it to Ceres, the goddess of fertility.
Nutmeg: Nutmeg was highly prized by Chinese women as an aphrodisiac and Hindus used it to raise body heat and sweeten breath. In general, it evokes the warmth and comfort of home. Dangerous in large quantity as nutmeg can produce a hallucinogenic effect and health hazards. Just use it sparingly.
Nuts: Nuts are packed with protein and a healthy source of fat, which helps produce testosterone. Nuts are cholesterol free – the perfect natural aphrodisiac.
Pomegranate: A bright, passionate red, the pomegranate’s color suggests desire. Pomegranates were a symbol of Aphrodite. In ancient Middle Eastern cultures, this aphrodisiac fruit’s many seeds were considered a visual symbol of virility. The fruit was even recommended as a natural aphrodisiac in the Kama Sutra.
Raspberries and strawberries: Both of these little fruits are called ‘fruit nipples’ in erotic literature and are perfect for hand feeding your lover. Strawberries were considered an aphrodisiac in ancient Rome, where they were a symbol of Venus.
Tomatoes: Once banned by the Catholics for fear it would evoke lust in the young members of its church, the tomato was nick-named the ‘love apple’ when it arrived in Europe from South America. With its bright red color, soft flesh and sweet yet tangy flavor, maybe the tomato isn’t so innocent after all.
Vanilla: Its power is in its aroma – before vanilla can hit the tongue, the hypothalamus, the gland that controls memory and emotion, jumps into action, evoking feelings connected with vanilla’s powerful scent. Both the scent and flavor of vanilla is believed to increase lust.
One key aphrodisiac: Cinnamon.
Cinnamon, the scent, beguiling for men in particular, and used in the greatest aphrodisiac scents: pumpkin pie and cinnamon buns.
At the top of “sexy smells” according to recent studies was both pumpkin pie and cinnamon buns. Yes, baking a pumpkin pie could be considered seduction.Want to spice up your sex life? Make homemade cinnamon buns.
There are fabulous resources available for aphrodisiac seekers like myself— one of the best books on the subject of “hunger and the psyche” is Bunny Crumpacker’s book “The Sex Life of Food” — this is my favorite book to bring along when dining alone. Imagine the curious looks I get from other diners when they observe me reading this at the table.
There is a wonderful book by Amy Reiley and Juan-Carlos Cruz called The Love Diet :
“A lifestyle plan for a healthy sex life for life, The Love Diet shares ingredients and recipes known to sustain a healthy libido as well as promote energy, mood, glowing skin and cardiovascular health.
The Love Diet is not a starvation program or crazy fad. No one food is off-limits on our plan. We just help readers understand how to reduce unhealthy ingredients and pack the diet with desired nutrients and more sustainable ingredients at the same time as delivering sensual textures and taste bud tittlating flavors.”
Figs are also an aphrodisiac. A symbol of a woman’s sex, figs are sensual, exotic.
Explore some aphrodisiacs, enjoy with your lover, or inspire yourself in the kitchen. Aphrodisiacs don’t need to apply to just romance, they can also uplift our mood, giving us a sensual experience of life and living. Create recipes using figs and other aphrodisiacs that appeal to you.
Papayas are also amazing for one’s sexual health: papaya has compounds that act as the female hormone estrogen. It has been used as a folk remedy in promoting menstruation and milk production, facilitating childbirth and increasing the female libido.
But in Guatemala, men eat papayas as an aphrodisiac. Aside from all the sexual reasons, papaya is incredibly good for our health: The milky juice that comes out from unripe papaya fruit is a good digestive aid. It stimulates the secretion of gastric juice, and is used in cases of stomach discomfort like dyspepsia. Commonly used as a cooking ingredient. the unripe or green papaya also has a digestive enzyme called papain which tenderizes meat. Papain is also used as a digestive aid and is said to have anti-inflammatory benefits.
Being healthy is sexy. We feel sexier when we are healthy also. And cooking for our lover can be an adventure, gathering the “magical” ingredients to woo our beloved, taking the time and putting love into what we make. Like Water For Chocolate is a favorite film of mine based on the novel by Laura Esquivel. My favorite scene is when Tita makes her famous “aphrodisiac” dinner of quail in rose petal sauce:
“Tita’s strong emotions become infused into her cooking and she unintentionally begins to affect the people around her through the food she prepares. After one particularly rich meal of quail in rose petal sauce flavored with Tita’s erotic thoughts of Pedro, Tita’s older sister Gertrudis becomes inflamed with lust and leaves the ranch making ravenous love with a revolutionary soldier on the back of a horse before being dumped in a brothel and subsequently disowned by her mother.”
Another book that inspires is by Isabel Allende: Aphrodite: A Memoir of the Senses—- “In this bawdy memoir-cum-cookbook, Allende has put together an apothecary of aphrodisiacs, from snake’s blood and rhinoceros horn to the more commonplace and more palatable oysters, “those seductive tears of the sea, which lend themselves to slipping from mouth to mouth like a prolonged kiss … can be purchased in bottles, but there they look like malignant tumors; in contrast, moist and turgid in their shells they suggest delicate vulvae–a prime example of food that appeals to the eye.”
“If cookbooks make up part of your library,” Allende notes, “books on eroticism should, too.”
Love magic and spells are part of ancient history.
“Eros spells” were mainly practiced by men and prostitutes in Ancient Greece. Eros spells were used to instill lust and passion into women, leading them to fulfill the man who invoked the spell.
“Love magic” was also practiced during the Renaissance period (14th to 17th centuries) and was both Christian and Pagan. It was taken quite seriously and sometimes hidden in pseudo-religious acts of candle lighting and prayer. It was also cast upon those of wealth and status, and used carefully due to the social and physical dangers involved in casting “love spells” during the Renaissance of Europe.
Tristan and Isolde is a tale that involves a “love elixir”: After defeating the Irish knight Morholt, Tristan travels to Ireland to bring back the fair Iseult for his uncle King Mark to marry. Along the way, they drink a love potion that causes the pair to fall madly in love. The story is told in many ways, and the effects of love elixir vary from tale to tale.
There was a chef I once was completely enamored with. He was the most beautiful man I had ever seen. A handsome, strong, tall Korean man with a sweet disposition, very shy, and a talented sushi chef. I dined at his restaurant just to eat whatever he decided to make for me. Being vegetarian, perhaps this illustrates my desire. I ate any kind of sushi, sashimi, and anything else he conjured. It was exquisite, the mystery. He served me at my table, rather than at a “sushi bar”. Kneeling at my eye level before my table, he looked at me with his penetrating eyes, and softly asked me, “What would you like tonight?” My answer could have been lusty and direct, but that would have ruined the magic. He flirted with me through food. It was as delicate as his sweet shrimp and baby lobster roll, as luxurious as his creamy sauces.
I will never forget the rainy night when I entered the warm candlelit interior of the restaurant, damp with rain. I was hungry. I had just spent several hours in my Japanese language class, and drove across the city, stomach grumbling, dizzy with hunger. The restaurant was quiet that night. Just the few waitstaff, the bartender, and me at my table. I was alone with my chef. I could see him from my table through the open space of the kitchen, in his indigo dyed yukata, his broad shoulders, his head wrapped with the same color “hachimaki” (head bandana). His face was illuminated by the indigo dyed fabric, smiling at me from the kitchen. He came out and asked me if I was especially hungry. Of course I was about to faint. Swooning. He said, “I know just what to make for you.”
As he bustled around the kitchen, he was a magician. There was something unusual going on. The sound of the rain, droplets on the windows sparkling with the lights from neon signs, the busy street, the interior candles. glimmering. The sounds of clanging pans and stainless steel bowls. He was not wrapping rolls or cutting fish, but using the stove. I noticed the shape of his body far off in the kitchen, doing something with a pan.
He returned with a plate of the most fragile lacy crepes, pahjun, or “pajeon”, made with scallions and other julienned vegetables inside a warm thin pancake. They are also known as authentic Korean “boochoo jun” (chive pancake). They arrived by his hands before me, the glorious scent, his hands near me, our eyes met over the dish, his gaze spiced with heat. He explained that I use my hands, gesturing to my hands, a slight touch to my skin, and his fingers to his luscious mouth, he said, “just dip and eat.”
The pajeon came with a dipping sauce that was fragrant and sweet— he had made it himself. He told me it had ginger, sesame, garlic. Something sweet also. Love? Desire?
An unforgettable aphrodisiac dinner, and the memory of that rainy night.

I recently tried Babeland’s Body Chocolate with my lover. It is a delicious body chocolate made of sugar, organic cocoa powder, safflower oil, organic coconut oil, organic cocoa butter, and vanilla.
Being an amateur gourmet, I have some experience in tasting other chocolate spreads, from the luxurious Noisella, a Belgian chocolate and hazelnut spread (by Le Pain Quotidien, the Belgian gourmet café chain) to the infamous Nutella. I love to spread chocolate on bananas, as it’s a sensual experience. Although eating it off a banana is cliche, it sure tastes good. The two flavors together are just delicious. Then I discovered Noisella while dining at Le Pain Quotidien. So, with these flavor references, I can properly explain that Babeland’s Body Chocolate leans closer to the latter, more elegant chocolate spread.
You are probably curious as to why one would order body chocolate spread from a sex toy purveyor when a chocolate spread could be found in some local gourmet shop? Why not go grocery shopping for your own 9 1/2 Weeks sexy food scenario? And so I will explain the positives of trying this Body Chocolate through Babeland: you can also shop for incredible, sex-positive, women-friendly, and even eco-friendly, sex toys while you order your absolutely delish Babeland Body Chocolate. Why not?
This particular “body chocolate” is by far superior to regular chocolate spreads, and comparable to some of the healthier kinds I’ve enjoyed (on bananas, bread and even raw flax seed crackers). But, let me tell you, it’s better on someone’s naked body.
Yes, my husband enjoyed the body chocolate on his nipples: “I didn’t think it would be so arousing,” he sighed. And… tasting it off his nether parts. And… his nipples again. I was surprised that he liked his nipples sucked, and so a discovery was made. Yes, it was yummy for me too, as I enjoyed spreading a taste on his arousal and slowly, languidly, tasting, sucking, and savoring it off of him. You might as well consider this “gourmet sex chocolate” and add it into your sex toy basket.
More reasons to lick up delicious Babeland Body Chocolate:
It contains coconut oil.
Research has proven that coconut oil has many health benefits. The health & beauty plus of coconut oil includes hair care, skin care, stress relief, maintaining cholesterol levels, weight loss, increased immunity, proper digestion and metabolism, relief from kidney problems, heart diseases, high blood pressure, to name a few.
The benefits of coconut oil can be attributed to the presence of lauric acid, capric acid and caprylic acid, and its properties such as antimicrobial, antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial.
And… chocolate? What could be better?
Think of the pleasure you will both have (or perhaps use it for a menage a trois? A chocolate body painting party? The possibilities are plentiful). And I am sure I don’t need to give you explanations on how healthy orgasms are. Coconut oil, chocolate, and orgasms? A quintessential recipe for health and happiness.
Just the many reasons to enjoy Babeland Body Chocolate. For a midnight snack, or a sexy morning breakfast in bed.
Chocolate happens to be my religion. I grew up in a very liberal Jewish household, the kind that celebrated the holidays with a “pagan” Chanukah bush. I decided that even though Judaism was my heritage, it was really chocolate that I believed in. Chocolate could get me through. If I was having a particularly challenging day, some good chocolate would just make things better. Not as tame as my British grandmother’s ‘cup of tea’ which also had the magical ability of righting a particularly rotten mood or moment,— chocolate promised of something sensual, something luxurious, like a seductive kiss. Hershey’s kisses, in their happy little easy-to-open foils, buttery with cocoa pleasure. Mood lifting. Aphrodisiac.
If I were admitted into the hospital, when asked what my religion is, I’d say “chocolate”. If I should ever be in a life or death situation, instead of sending the hospital clergy, my wish would be for someone from the ‘religion of chocolate’ to arrive, bearing a large box of chocolate truffles at my eleventh hour. I don’t need gloomy prayers, just give me a decadent bite of chocolate truffle with hazelnut filling.
The {aphrodisiac} history of chocolate and its origins, little nibbles quickly taken from the chocolate bunny of Wikipedia:
The majority of the Mesoamerican people made chocolate beverages, including the Aztecs, who made it into a beverage known as xocolātl (/ʃo.ko.laːtɬ/), a Nahuatl word meaning “bitter water”— Xocoatl was believed to fight fatigue, a belief that is probably attributable to the theobromine content. Chocolate was also an important luxury good throughout pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, and cacao beans were often used as currency.
A BBC report indicated that melting chocolate in one’s mouth produced an increase in brain activity and heart rate that was more intense than that associated with passionate kissing, and also lasted four times as long after the activity had ended.
Nyotaimori, the Japanese erotic food art: 女体盛り, “female body presentation” or “body sushi,” is the art of serving sashimi & sushi from the body of a naked woman.
There is also the male version, Nantaimori (Japanese: 男体盛り) refers to the same practice using a male model. Perhaps the use a “nasu” or eggplant for the man’s “centerpiece”? Japanese eggplants are very… erotic.
This genre of food play is originally a Japanese practice that has attracted international media attention. A few online searches have led to some restaurants and parties where beautiful naked women are used as platters for the sushi presentation.
“Before becoming a living sushi platter, the person (usually a woman) is trained to lie down for hours without moving. She or he must also be able to withstand the prolonged exposure to the cold food. Before service, the individual is supposed to have taken a bath using a special fragrance-free soap and then finished off with a splash of cold water to cool the body down somewhat for the sushi. In some parts of the world, in order to comply with sanitation laws, there must be a layer of plastic or other material between the sushi and the body of the woman or man.”
—Jack Herbert, Nyotaimori (Body sushi), Japan for the Uninvited
There are Nyotaimori specialists, such as Chef Mark “The Naked Sushi King” based in Wilmington, North Carolina— quote from his website:
“When it comes to providing the extraordinary and exotic in naked sushi, no one surpasses Chef Mark aka the Naked Sushi King. Considered one of the true innovators of the art of Nyotaimori in the USA, Chef Mark, the Naked Sushi King, excels at providing unique and distinctive presentations which honor the traditions of the Japanese heritage.
Nyotaimori is the art of naked body sushi. Our dedication and knowledge of Nyotaimori, body sushi makes it safe, fun, and different. While we are based in coastal Wilmington, North Carolina, we are one of the only upscale sushi catering services that can travel to any location worldwide to put on an exclusive event or provide VIP types of services as your very own personal sushi chef.”
It was many years ago, before I knew about any of this that I had fantasized about Japanese men eating sushi off of my naked body. Had I known I could become a “nyotaimori model” I would have done it in a heartbeat. I suppose I still can find a way, and write about it? Ah, the adventure…
My fantasies were more involved than just holding still— I imagined an erotic scene with the heat of mouths, the slide of tongues, tasting, licking, eating off of my skin. Several Japanese men, perhaps some very handsome, some a little older but still attractive, enjoying themselves by eating sushi and sashimi off of my body. Also, “eating” my most erotic places. You can only guess.
This fantasy is still something I dream of. Rather than an elaborate banquet platter for a large party, I’d be a dinner plate for an intimate table of 3. Two men and a woman, perhaps?
Also, there is Wakame Sake or Wakamezake わかめ酒, another erotic food/drink practice is wakame sake, poured down a woman’s body and drunk from the “cup” of her closed thighs. The name “wakame“, means ‘soft seaweed’.
My darling is a Japanese native. When I ask him about “Nyotaimori,” I get a mumbled “hhmph?” and a sly smile. but he says nothing.

A similar “food fetish” is expressed in Seijun Suzuki’s 1967 film Branded to Kill, protagonist Goro Hanada (Joe Shishido) has a food fetish in which he must sniff boiling rice in order to become sexually aroused or enthusiastic about his life and career as a hitman.
